Case study — Publishing

Cash Matters

Five formats,one content engine

A publishing platform for a global cash-advocacy movement — editorial, podcasts, research and country-level payment data, in the hands of an editorial team that isn’t waiting on a developer to hit publish.

The problem

Five formats,one impossible site

Cash Matters publishes across an unusually wide range of formats — long-form editorial, news, a podcast series, research reports and country-level payment data. Holding all of that in one site is hard.

The editorial team needed to publish across every format without a developer in the loop. Readers — journalists, policymakers, central bank researchers — needed to find the right material fast, whatever they came looking for.

  • 01Five different content formats competing for the same template
  • 02Editors dependent on developers to publish a podcast episode or a country statistic
  • 03Country-level cash-usage data with nowhere structured to live
  • 04Research buried instead of discoverable by the policymakers looking for it

That is not a content problem. It is an information architecture problem — and it is invisible until an editor needs a developer just to hit publish.

What we built

A platform builtaround the newsroom

A content platform built around how the editorial team actually works.

01

Structured content model

Distinct content types for cover stories, news, podcast episodes, studies and reports — plus country-level cash-usage statistics as structured, repeatable data. The team publishes any of it without touching layout or code.

02

Editorial-led homepage

A composable homepage where editors control the cover story, promote research, surface the latest episodes and rotate country data — no deployment required to change what leads.

03

Research & discovery

A browsable, filterable archive for white papers and studies with clean download handling, plus site-wide search so a reader looking for one report doesn’t need to know which section it lives in.

04

Podcast integration

Episodes presented with inline playback and full show notes, so audio is a first-class format rather than an embed bolted onto a blog post.

The result

Editorialindependence

The content team publishes cover stories, podcasts, research and country data without a developer in the loop — across a platform read in dozens of markets.
